Created in 1953, the NAHB Spike Club recognizes and rewards members who are actively involved in the recruitment and retention of members. Recruiting a new member results in 1 Spike credit, and retaining a recruited member generates 1/2 Spike credit. To become a Spike, an individual must obtain 6 credits within two consecutive years. Spike Club recognition comes at various credit levels, and all Spikes who recruit at least one new member per year are invited to attend the annual NAHB Spike Party held during the International Builders Show.
Valley Home Builders Association relies on its members to recruit new members and work with existing members to encourage their renewal by helping them get the most out of their memberships.
